WWe mix the split pieces of fir, spruce, alder and maple (most from blowdowns around the homestead) with pieces of pallet wood, from a place that recycles old pallets and sells the pieces that they can’t use to make new pallets from. I just called them to reorder another load and will have to wait a few weeks till they have another load. But then, they couldn’t drive in on our road now anyway…
